Binary Digits — free online memory game
About this game
Nothing but 0s and 1s, in rows of 30, against the clock. Binary Digits is a real memory-sport discipline where the best minds hold hundreds of bits — and where a single smart compression trick changes everything.
How to play Binary Digits
- 1Pick a memorize time — rows of 30 bits, twice that to recall.
- 2Study the pattern sheet until time runs out, or leave early.
- 3Type what you remember, row by row. Score = bits correct in their exact spots.
What Binary Digits trains
Binary is the ultimate pattern-encoding challenge: the alphabet is tiny, so raw items are worthless and grouping is everything. Champions read every 3 bits as one digit (0–7) or every 6 bits as one image — instantly cutting the load by three or six. Training here builds the compression reflex your brain applies to any repetitive information.
Category: Memory sports · Scoring: Bits in bits · Modes: 1 min, 2 min, 5 min
Tip: Read rows as shapes and rhythms, not 30 separate bits — or compress every 3 bits into a single digit.
How do you memorize binary digits?
Compress: read each group of 3 bits as a number from 0–7 (so 101 becomes 5), then encode those digits with the Major System. 30 raw bits become 10 images — a 3× reduction that trained memory athletes rely on.
What is a good binary score?
Recalling 30–60 bits exactly in 5 minutes is a strong untrained result. With the 3-to-1 compression trick, 90–150 bits becomes realistic within a few focused sessions.
Is Binary Digits free?
Yes — Binary Digits is completely free, with no account, no signup and no downloads. Scores are saved privately in your browser, and you can install MemoryGames as an app from your browser menu if you want it on your home screen.
